Theserieswasbeautifully hotogra hedanddirected.Theserieswasfilledwithabeautifullydesaturated alette(witha rominentochreforinteriorscenes)whichgaveastark,im osingtem erament.Alongwiththistherewerewonderfulintersectionswithdiffusesofagedyetcolourfulsoftfocusimagery,givingaromanticyetnostalgicfeel,likealostlove.Itwasabreathtakingcontrastoftheseromanticdiffuseswithdesaturatedscenes,tomeitevokedBeethoven'sisolationanddifficultytokee agri onreality. Thestoryanddialoguewasfantasticallywellwritten.It owerfullyevokedtheturmoil,isolationanddes airofBeethoven.Itwasahighlyaccuratehistorical ortrayalalongwithacaliberandso histicationofwritingwhichseemedtotranscendit'shistoricalobligationsgivingahighlyemotional,grittyandmovingex erience.
