简介： 有一天，沃特曼教授给他的学生大卫打电话，他们约好在教授的山居小屋见面，杰克的朋友吉姆还有吉姆的女友维奇，另外还有一个刚从纽约过来的美女苏珊，他们打算去山上进行野餐，所以四个人驱车去山上，一路上发生许多令人费解的事情，出现超级大脚印，洞穴发出诡异的叫声，神奇的城堡出现在山头…他们并不知道，一场危机即将爆发…他们的命运会怎样?影片拍摄完成后，导演穆仑把它拿给很多人看，当然还包括一些电影公司的人，不过并没有多少人感兴趣，因为影片成本是这么得低。直到他到遇到制片人杰克·哈里斯(JackH.Harris)。哈里斯看后非常喜欢，不过觉得影片有点短，需要再加长点，穆仑当即把影片交给了哈里斯，并让他爱怎么搞就怎么搞，于是就有了杰克·伍兹(JackWoods)导演的1970年版《黎明前的野兽》。加长版有些镜头需要重拍，这让女演员芭芭拉·赫维特(BarbaraHewitt)十分意外，她首先想到的是自己在剧中所穿过的那条裤子找不到了，再买的话会不会由于身材发胖而穿不上。(那条裤子确实非常性感哈)在这个加长版里，导演伍兹扮演的恶魔还有一场强暴女演员的戏，拍这场景时确实让当时还只是新人的赫维特吓到了。不过，正是因为她的本色演出而让这场景拍得非常成功。另外加长版还修正了原版的一处明显BUG。影片最后男女主角逃命时，原版拍到那枚有驱魔作用的十字架被女主角掉进了草丛里，而且也并没交代男主角有机会去捡到那枚十字架;不过接下来男主角待在医院的一年零一天之中，那枚十字架却又始终都在他身边，直到与记者的争斗中被记者带走···这一穿帮在加长版中被删掉了。2006年6月一区CC发行了双碟版的《黎明前的野兽》。碟一为全新数字修复的1970年剧场版《野兽》，以及1967年版《野兽...超自然旅程》，并附两位导演对各自版本的随片讲评，一段邪恶博士福斯特·阿克曼(ForrestJAckerman)视频导言;碟二为导演穆仑及演员采访片段，1967版删除场景和NG镜头，定格动画《魔力宝藏》，短片《Zorgon:TheH-BombBeastfromHell》，以及大量珍贵剧照、宣传素材等
