简介：Following the success of their feature debut Jennifer’s Shadow (2004) – an exercise in American Gothic set in a scary land called Argentina – Pablo Parés and Daniel de la Vega worked for a US company on a post-mega-disaster wasteland zombie film in which South America had been turned into an all-purpose, all-materials junkyard, with the undead as the last humane entities around (forget about the humans here!). The project never materialised, but Diego Parés, Pablo’s brother, started to write and draw a comic series based on the screenplay – which so far remains a ruin, as only parts were finished and published. The ECish beauty and balls of Diego P.’s labour of love have now been congenially transformed by the directorial duo into a delightfully old-(1970s)school low-budget production, closer to Romero and Dante than Fulci and Lenzi. And the IFFR audience is in for the treat of treats they get to see the film and can also enjoy the unfinished comic in an exhibition.

简介：Im Wesentlichen geht es in dem Film darum, dass der untote Eric wieder zurückkehrt und Phili s Freundin Helma grausam ermordet. Somit wird ihm klar, dass Eric kein Gonger ist. Als Phili , von diesem Vorfall schwer getroffen, in sein Heimatdorf zurückkehrt, trifft er auf den blanken Hass der Dorfbewohner. Zusammen mit einigen anderen, die durch Eric geliebte Personen in ihrem Leben verloren haben, zieht er in die Villa Hansen und entwickelt mit Hilfe seiner Erfahrungen und Felix’ Kameras und Geräten einen Plan, um den Geist zu vernichten. Durch Phili s Träume von den bevorstehenden Morden können lange Zeit alle überleben, doch kommt es in der Schluss hase des Films zu einem Final-Destination-ähnlichen Verkettungs-Massaker. Schließlich beschließen die vom Pfarrer aufgehetzten Dorfbewohner, die Villa zu stürmen, als Eric wieder einmal zuschlägt. Nach einigen weiteren Morden sowie dem Tod Pias und ihres Freundes während eines Kusses kommt es zum Showdown: Phili stellt sich Eric in den Katakomben des Hauses und erfährt, dass der nicht durch ihn getötet werden kann, da er nicht der letzte lebende Hansen ist. Als ihm klar wird, dass seine gemeinsame Tochter mit Helma der letzte Hansen ist, nimmt er sie mit und gibt sie an einen fernen Schamanenstamm ab, um sie zu schützen. Die letzte Einstellung des Films zeigt den sich mit starren Augen umdrehenden Phili Hansen.
